For 40 years, Advanced Couplings Ltd. (ACL) has built a legacy of innovation in hygienic clamp and connection technology. Founded in 1986 in Keighley, UK, ACL quickly established itself as a manufacturer of choice for hygienic clamps, driven by engineering expertise and a clear focus on performance. 

In 1987, ACL expanded its footprint with the establishment of its Irish site in Roscommon, transferring clamp production and strengthening manufacturing capabilities. Throughout the 1990s, ACL advanced hygienic design standards, developing the OMEGA sealing profile in 1995 and applying ASME BPE hygienic principles to its clamp designs. Innovation continued with the SH Clamp patent filed in 2006 and the introduction of a class-leading glassware range in 2007, including sight glass and bubble trap assemblies. 

Growth accelerated in 2017 as the UK site expanded, doubling production capacity. In 2023, ACL entered the single-use market with a full SUT clamp range, followed by the 2024 launch of the patented CT-SVFI sight glass, designed for quick maintenance and enhanced safety. That same year marked another major milestone as ACL became part of Ideal Tridon Group, expanding its reach across the United States and strengthening global distribution.
