Today's employee spotlight is on Tim Baus, Application Engineer for Campbell Fittings.

Tim Baus – Application Engineer, Campbell Fittings

FUN FACT: Tim is a motorcycle enthusiast and owns 3 motorcycles. His current favorite bike is his Harley-Davidson Fat Bob.

WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? Tim is naturally a shy person, but he enjoys talking to anyone!

As the Application Engineer for Campbell Fittings, Tim helps do what it takes to keep the business running. Tim's day to day is always different from designing new products, performing hydrostatic testing of hose assemblies, answering technical inquiries, supplying costing and drawings for quotes, and ensuring efficient manufacturing procedures. Tim did not have an easy start when he first joined the Campbell team in August 2023. He had only worked for the company about a week before getting into a serious car accident. Tim suffered compound fractures of both bones in his lower right arm, which required surgery. After taking a bit of time off to recover, Tim is back to work with about five weeks under his belt.

Tim has a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Penn State and has a strong engineering background, having previously worked as a design engineer, product engineer, and inside sales specialist before coming to Campbell. He says he "isn't an expert in Campbell products just yet," but he appreciates everyone's willingness to help when he does have questions. He says the team has been instrumental in helping him get settled in his new position.

When he is not busy working up a new product idea, Tim likes spending time with his girlfriend, Brandy, and her nine-year-old son, Sebastian. He really enjoys all the fun and new experiences they have had together, like visiting Legoland. Tim says riding motorcycles is his #1 passion in life. He does not foresee giving up riding anytime soon.
